Nevertheless, we know that about 60% of the population lives in rural areas and do not participate as much in the overall growth. The trickle-down effect takes much longer there. <br /><br />Where political freedom is curtailed it may endanger growth only if there is unrest within the population. There is no unrest in Cambodia, notwithstanding what the SRP wants to make you believe. Cambodians are happy with the situation as it is now and have no stomach for Tunisia/Egypt-style upheavals.
